Moist Banana Bread Recipe with Chocolate Chunks

If you want to dip your fingers into a little baking during your shelter in place order, Banana Bread is your go-to.

This banana bread recipe is fail proof and delicious. I know there are a lot of banana bread recipes out there, but trust me you are going to love this one.

Banana bread is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Even snack time. Sometimes for dinner, I cut myself a slice of banana bread, pop it in the toaster over for a few minutes and throw on a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top 🤤

I prefer my banana bread with chocolate chips or chunks, but if you prefer your banana bread without them, no worries, just skip that step.

Moist Banana Bread Recipe with Chocolate Chunks

Serves: I loaf
Prep Time: 7 minutes Cooking Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 bananas ripe
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup chocolate chips or chocolate chunks
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of flour

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a 5x9 loaf pan with cooking spray.

Peel the bananas. Mash the bananas.

Stir in melted butter, egg, sugar, vanilla, baking soda, and salt. Stir well.

Add flour and chocolate chunks. Stir well.

Pour into baking pan.

Cook for 1 hour.

Let cool on a rack before removing from pan.

Notes

You can remove the chocolate chips from the recipe if you don't want to put chocolate in your banana bread 😃
