OLLA Now Has Lunch

OLLA by Chef Scott Linquist is now open for lunch.

Starting Monday through Friday, lunch will start at 11:30 AM and end at 4 PM.

Chef Scott has added sandwiches (in addition to enchiladas, masa, salads and jars) served on Bollilo which is a traditional Mexican savory bread roll and Cazuelitas. Native to Mexico, a Cazuelita is a small casserole that’s commonly used as a side dish. OLLA uses a cast iron skillet for their version accompanied with tortillas for guests to make their own taco. Menu highlights include Barbacoa Cazuelita – Adobo roasted lamb shoulder, charro beans, pasilla oaxaca, mint salsita; Tinga Cazuelita – Pulled chicken, sweet and spicy tomato salsa, queso fresco, cilantro leaves; Dorado Bollilo – Beer battered mahi mahi, shaved cabbage, garlic mayo, habanero pickled onions; Relleno Bollilo – Egg battered roasted poblano chile, Mexican cheese blend, roasted tomato chipotle salsa, pico de gallo.

Miami Has A New Hangout – The Arketekt by Aficionados

Miami has a new hangout to check out, The Arketekt by Aficionados.

Aficionados Wine/Spirits Boutique and Speakeasy Bar is opening a restaurant and bar right next door to its current storefront in February 2017. The Arketekt by Aficionados is a 60-seat restaurant and bar will be open for lunch and dinner, weekend brunch and offers outdoor seating as well as a private dining lounge.

The Arketekt will have a half bottle wine program that allows patrons to experience a variety of labels without the financial commitment of a full bottle.

The Arketekt by Aficionados is located at 1200 Brickell Bay Drive, Suite 107, Miami, FL 33131.

The Arketekt by Aficionados is expected to open next month.

The Sarsaparilla Club Launches A Chef’s Tasting Menu

The Sarsaparilla Club has launched a new Chef’s Tasting menu.

Chefs Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth will let guests choose from either a classic or vegetarian four-course tasting menu. Both menus are priced at $39 and a cocktail, wines and draft beer pairings also available for $20.

The tasting menu starts with dim sum cart dishes such as the Braised Short Rib Dumpling, Pork Belly Steamed Bun and Drunken Deviled Eggs. If you chose the vegetarian option, dim sum items like The Carrot & Beet Tartare, Beet & Goat Cheese Dumpling, Heirloom Tomato Toast, Mushroom & Onion Sticky Bun and Corn 4 Ways are available to you.

The third course features the Green Curry Fried Chicken Drumstick, Short Rib Meat Loaf, Charred Bok Choy, Grilled Graffiti Eggplant, and Spiced Honey Carrots & Farro Salad.

To top of this epic meal, the menu features the Sarsaparilla Chocolate Cake topped with Rainbow Root Chips, Honey Butter Drizzle and Sea Salt.

Each course is paired with a specialty drink like the Barrel of Monks Draft beer, JP Chenet Sparkling Blanc de Blanc, Langued’oc, 2013 Chateau St. Jean and their signature dessert cocktail for an additional $20.

You can enjoy The Sarsaparilla Club Chef’s Tasting menu seven days a week for dinner.

Quinto La Huella is the first outpost of Uruguay’s beachfront restaurant, Parador La Huella. Quinto La Huella offers a unique fire cooking method with a wood fire parrilla centered at the heart of our kitchen and includes a wood fire oven, sushi counter, and outdoor dining experience.
