One of our favorite chefs, David Chang has just opened his spicy fried chicken sandwich shop Fuku in New York.
Chang wants Fuku to be the next Shake Shack and take it global.
Fuku is located in the old Ko space at 163 1st Avenue, New York , NY.
There is just one sandwich on the menu that cost $8 and is made with chicken thighs that are marinated in habanero puree and buttermilk, dredged in spices, and deep fried. The chicken is then placed with pickles in a steamed Martin’s potato roll that has fermented chickpea flavored butter. Along with the sandwich there is a salad, fries and of course booze.
Our friends at Eater in NYC checked it out today and here’s what the amazing sandwich looks like in person:
We certainly cannot wait to make the trip to NYC and try some Fuku!
