After long delays, Izzy’s Fish & Oyster is finally open.
Izzy’s comes to us from chef Jamie DeRosa. Izzy’s is located steps away from sister restaurant Tongue & Cheek. William Crandall is the Chef de Cuisine at Izzy’s.
Izzy’s Fish & Oyster is open seven days a week for Dinner from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m and Happy Hour from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. A Rosé Brunch is coming later this month.
On the menu you can expect a “Maine Lobster Roll” available in a hot preparation with lobster butter or cold with lobster mayo; “New England Clam Chowder” with potato, leeks and oyster crackers and “Golden Potato Gnocchi” with oysters, American caviar and fresh herbs. Additional highlights include a “Sugar Snap Salad” with grana padano, mint and Champagne vinaigrette with Marcona almonds; “Fried Clam Bellies” with bread and butter-pickled vegetables and lemon; and a “Crab Salad BLT.” Sides are a must including the “Parker House Rolls” with buttah and “Johnny Cakes” with local honey.
For dessert expect classic Whoopies with a marshmallow fluff filling; a slice of Boston Cream Pie with vanilla, citrus, dark rum and chocolate ganache; and Grandma Celia’s Lemon Meringue Pie.
There is also a full raw bar.
