Review : Morgan’s Miami

One of Miami’s newest hidden gems!

That’s the one line we think describes what Morgan’s is. With locations in Midtown Miami and now South Beach, this is one place not to be missed.

For weeks and weeks, some friends of mine kept insisting that I needed to go to Morgan’s for Sunday brunch and go have their ‘Chicken & Waffles.’

So we finally did just that.

One Sunday morning, we decided to go check out Sunday brunch at Morgan’s Miami at the Midtown location. From far, Morgan’s looks like someone’s house. It’s a two-story lavender house with the striped black-and-white awnings and large wrap-around terrace. Inside is a whole other story. Dressed in all white and wood tables, Morgan’s has an industrial, hip, and trendy look to it. You can dine in the large outdoor terrace, inside on the first floor near the bar, or upstairs. Upstairs has about four different rooms, which can also be setup for private family dining. (Contact Morgan’s for more information on private dining.)

The menu is pretty simple, yet awesome. There is something for everyone. From French toast to Eggs Benedict to Chicken and Waffles, Morgan’s has what you’re looking for: Modern Home-Style Comfort Food.

After looking over the menu, we decided to go for the ‘Pillow Light Brioche French Toast, Chicken and Waffles and an Omelet.’

To drink, Morgan’s has the usual Sunday Funday Brunch drinks. Sangria, Mimosas and Bellini’s. All, which are available in a glass or pitcher size.

We got some coffee, Sangria, and a Bellini.

The service here is relaxed, polite and awesome.

After about 10-15 minutes our food began to come out and there it was, their world famous ‘Chicken & Waffles.’ I was in heaven. (Pictured) At first glance, you might think “Wow! That’s big enough to share.” Well don’t! You don’t want to share these ‘Chicken & Waffles.’

I have only tried chicken and waffles once before at another restaurant. Morgan’s has completely changed that. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly. The maple syrup goes perfect with the chicken as well. The waffles were not to hard and not to soft, just right! The ‘Chicken & Waffles’ is delicious. If you have never tried ‘Chicken & Waffles’ and have been thinking about it, think no more. Head out to Morgan’s and order this!!!

Everything else including the French toast and omelet were awesome too. The French toast tasted so light and fluffy and definitely another one of my favorites. The French toast is huge and can definitely be shared by two people. The omelet comes with a side of potatoes (so good) and come with your choice of 2 fillings like tomatoes, peppers, onions, chorizo, spinach, arugula, bacon, and 7 choices of cheeses.

At the end of your brunch, Morgan’s Miami can be described in 2 words: food coma! Morgan’s is delicious, scrumptious, and simply awesome. If you’re looking for an amazing brunch spot, look no further than Morgan’s. Tell your friends, take your friends you will not regret it. Morgan’s Miami is definitely Miami’s Modern Home-Style Comfort Food spot. Morgan’s will easily become your new favorite brunch restaurant in Miami.
